How often do you get to Hancocks of Paducah?? It IS pricey, what about the WalMart THERE?? Do they have fabric?
I only go to Paducah every 3 months. Usually for Dr. appts and they are never close enough to hancocks. My van has problems so I always have to borrow a vehicle inorder to go. Some day I am gonna to hancocks. My WM still has fabrics but down sized it by 3/4's. The ladies that work the fabrics say it is staying and that I need to apply for a job to work the fabrics. I wish I could but with DH working full time and going to school it leaves me no time for a job, somebody has to take care of the house and kids.

My walmart does sell fabric and it is less than a mile from my house. They get new all the time and most of it is the good stuff, usually VIP. This weekend they had some all cotton for $1 a yard, so my bugy filled up all by itself and I went home with over 90 yards. Now if I could just get the bugy to pay for it. I'll post a picture soon.

Our Wm was getting rid of fabrics but the big wigs from Murray state university threatened to boy cot the local wm if it got rid of fabric. Sounds strange for a university to do that but the reason was when the frat houses have their toga parties they buy out the fabrics dept at wm. So it got to stay just greatly down szed.

I love Hobby Lobby's fabrics. In the past they would mark down select fabrics to $l a yard and I'd rack up. But, they quit doing the $l thing and now it's $2. I still buy a lot because I have to drive 100 miles to get to one. Their fabric is great -- much better than Wal Mart which I quit buying a long time ago.

One says end of year but who knows as the employees don't know for sure.
We expect all to be gone.

I think it is imperative that we who frequent the fabric depts at WalMart keep expressing ourselves, both at the customer service desk and online to the corporate offices. Don't write just once but keep at it if you want them to keep a supply for us. The louder the voice, hopefully the better they hear!

I live in a small town and the closest fabric shop is 60 miles away. We (us girls that sew) called the home office sent emails, etc. To no avail fabric was taken out. I was told that if it takes an employee to have to wait on us it is gone, ex. paints. We now have 1 yard pieces and fat quarters that come in a bundle and there are very few of those. So driving I must go

Our Wal Mart in Bryan, Ohio closed out their fabric but Angola In still has it and some one said Hillsdale Mi still had it.
