I am so happy to be part of this... I made these 6 star blocks today. They are overlapped in the photo, but they are 6 seperate stars. These are my first star blocks like this, as well. They were fun to make.

I'm going to make some too...one question. Does the material have to be Moda fabric?

No. The website says nothing but to use "medium red or blue" and a "light tonal background". No fabric brand is mentioned.

Thank you. I thought I was just tired & didn't see it.

I will be having a 3-day sewing time with my granddaughter in 2 weeks (pictured with me)...I bet she'll want to make some too. It will be her first star. She's already made a donation quilt (for safechild)...she loves donating too. Guess we're teaching her right.

Or do they want solid colors for the star or can it be a patterened material for the red or blue? Is the cream background suppose to be a solid or can it be marbled or patterened?
