My Gammill's have built-in bobbin winders. I don't use the stand alone. :)

My Crown Jewel doesn't have a built-in winder. It came with a stand alone. Love it! As others have stated, one cone on the bobbin winder and one on my machine.

The Avante didn't come with a built in bobbin winder. It came with a stand alone winder. The stand alones put less stress on the actual machine. Bobbins wind at a higher RPMs than the sewing RPMs. You are actually saving the life of the machine by winding the bobbins separately.

Angry Alphasew winder for M bobbins

    thanks!
I have a Alphasew to wind M size and it is the worst I have had awhile and don't use it. One day I asked my husband for an opinion and when he looked at it he noticed the motor that turns the bobbin winder was off center and the winders rubber wheel was not in the center of the wheel that controls the winding. Adjusted which makes the winder run correctly. The bobbins do not wind evenly and there is no one who will tell which way to adjust the part that supposedly makes the bobbin wind evenly, the videos on u-tube do not give this instruction regarding this issue. Cannot find who makes this it is like someone makes these in there garage and they are not cheep in 2011 I paid $89.00. Need suggestion for a good winder for M bobbins.
