Default Lights On a Tree Wall hanging?

Have any of you added lights on a Christmas tree wall hanging? How did you put them on? My dad is in a nursing home so I wanted to do something like this.

Here's a kit. There is a green(or blue) version too, it looks like Keepsake is out of it but you could do a search.

My sister and I saw one at a show in Plano, Tx. I will have to ask her what the name was.

I thought about it but I am hanging my Xmas tree quilt on the inside of the front door so I decided not to add them.

You need to buy a set of lights that are cool, no heat. This video shows stitching circles on a wall hanging, then you cut out the hole & put the lights in. A pocket was sewn in lower corner to hold the battery pack.

I think Jenny did a video on the Fourth of July one this year. Check youtube for Missouri Star Quilt co. I think the lights have a battery pack that you make a little pocket for on the back.

You might want to look at the buttonholes available on your sewing machine. See if there's an eyelet available.

Yep! That's what I use. Works great. Nice tight fit.

I purchased small lights with a battery pack for the Christmas tree quilt I completed last year and made tiny button holes in the tree and made a small pocket on the back to hold the battery pack. Put the lights through from the back and we hung it up over the mantle in the family room and it is on in the evening when we are in there. Hope this helps. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Set-of-20-...-Wire/39081344

I did exactly the same thing QuiltingHaven did ... and it worked great....i also put little black metal loops from the packs of hooks and loops on it - the kind used on blouses with back neck closures - can't think exactly what they're called at the moment .... but used those to hook little sparkly ornaments on it too.
