Is anyone else missing the member fabric sales? I guess the new rules have slowed down the items listed, but I really enjoyed finding great deals on this site to buy fabrics. :-(

me too although it did get a little redundant with always the same sellers. I keep hoping for new ones to show up but I guess not all of us has that much fabric to be able to sell a bunch.

It may be that as prices go up in the stores , we may be reluctant to sell some stash.

most of it is the new rules.as soon as we comply we can each have 1 listing with up to 15 items.

It was hard to understand the rules when I joined several years ago and it took a number of questions to understand the new rules. Admin has the right to create their own rules & it appears they have taken a step toward limiting the selling. However, I don't think they can see the difference between those who are stash thinning & those using the site as a commercial outlet. We all end up with items we can't use, but maybe someone else can & if sold, we can replace with something we really need. I also think if those who were posting many "individual" items for sale on a daily basis could have been asked to limit & group their postings it would not have gotten so out of hand. - just my personal perspective.

i love the new rules it was never meant to be for businesses to sell just quilting buddies to share swap and sell stuff they were not going to use.And if you could not see that it was being used for other purposes you must have rose colored glasses.

Don't understand all of the rules. I need a light to go on!!

Anyway, I am a person who likes to find a bargain. If it was fullfilling the wants of the majority, I don't understand what the problem was. Did members file complaints against the sellers? As I stated, I had no problem with ads as it benefited me and supposedly others on the board. But...if new rules keeps everyone happy..I am all for it.

Agree. The section was not being used fairly. Thanks Patrice and the Admin. for all you do!

I totally understand the new rules. If you were on the board a lot, like most of us, you would have noticed that the same people had items that always stayed on the front page. That occurs when someone "bumps" their listing by various means. The lister who only posted one item would invariably get pushed farther and farther back in the classifieds. The little seller didn't have a chance against the pros.
This levels the playing field for everyone. I've already seen posts from new members and I love it!
Since everyone knows that Admin. is watching, maybe everyone will play by the rules.

I miss the sales too. I have been a buyer and sometimes a trader. I understand the 90 days and being a regular, to keep scammers out, but some of the other rules, I don't understand, but if it was for the best of the board and members, I"m all for it too . I have been so happy with things I've bought or traded here.
