I saw a quilt online and it was just called the neutral wedding quilt - google it and see if it comes up. It is so gorgeous and on my must do list.
Other than that all of Bonnie Hunters patterns - lol

I am making a Glacier Star and I think the pattern is just gorgeous! Judy Niemeyer makes it so easy!

To me a quilt made lovingly by a grandma for a grandchild is far more beautiful than one (almost perfect) made for the sole purpose of winning competitions. Nothing wrong with that, I greatly admire the work of these people. A child's first attempt at making a quilt, a quilt made full of love for a friend or loved one or even the family pet.
As the saying goes, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's also in the joy when someone loves what you have made for them. As to favorite pattern I think Mariners Compass is still high on my list. It's surprising to look back on the magazines I bought when I first started quilting and realize how much my tastes have changed. Quilts I thought I'd make back then but never did aren't even on my list these days. As we have all seen written "so many quilts so little time".

The patterns are in the book "Dear Jane" by Brenda Papadakis. It sells on amazon for under $20.00. Check out her website www.dearjane.com. In my profile I have pictures of the original dj quilt and Jane's gravesite. Take a look if you'd like.

My favorite was the embroidery quilt, I think because it took three years to do it.

WOWWowowowowow! Your DJ is stunning! I love all the colors, and the way you've arranged them in color families is terrific. It pulls this crazy quilt together in a way I've never seen it done before. Absolutely WELL DONE! Please post it again when it's finished and quilted. That's the next challenge!

Neesie, I love this, I need to figure out how to add something like that when I sign my name. It would be "My name is:
M-a-I-R-e not Marie" So many people assume I misspelled my name, you must get that also. I almost always have to have legal papers corrected, I even overheard a clerk say "what fool misspelled Marie?" My name is a very common name in Ireland, just not in the US

Maire, go to "Settings" (at top), then on the left, look at "My Settings" and choose "Edit Signature."

People will call me "Neesie" but when they write it, many misspell it and write "Nessie." Any PMs sent to "Nessie" do NOT come to me.

As for your name, I think it's a lovely name and have heard it before. It really irritates me, when people second-guess someone's name spelling! Reminds me of an old friend of mine, whose daughter's teacher tried to teach the child to misspell her own last name. Her last name was "Larson" but the idiot teacher thought it should be "LaWson!"

I agree that the fabric and color often make all the difference in the world.
