First time I quilted was in 2002--about 9 years ago. I had sewed since I was twelve (48 years)and joined a quilt group with a group of American women when we were living in Amsterdam, never having quilted before then. Jumped in and taught myself with their guidance.

I have been sewing since Home Ec in high school. Made a lot of my kids clothes, and arts & crafts. Answered an ad for learning to quilt at a local quilt store. That was in 2002, my oldest daughter was expecting. My first quilt was for the baby one side, but pink backing for her. (That was 9 years ago.)
