Will it take any stitches at all, or will it stitch some, and then stop? I have a 440, and there's a "pattern repeat" button that is very easy to press instead of reverse, at which point, it will sew 3 stitches and then STOP. Also, check your actual stitch, and make sure you've got a plain straight stitch. Finally, make sure that you haven't adjusted your presser foot pressure all the way off. I did that to work with the BSR and forgot to take it off and was very confused for about 10 minutes.

I used a microfleece on the back of a quilt once and my Bernina would not feed this through. I had to change the backing. I was thinking maybe the reverse stitch button too. Hope you can figure this out.

Me too! The quilt I finished last night did not seem to feed through at all. I felt like I manually pulled that thing through for every stitch.
After reading this thread I went and cleaned out those feed dogs - the quilt before this one was flannel.
Miracle of miracles! Both the cleaning effect and this board! :)

So glad for you to have found the problem - an easy fix, but frustration till you got that far! I never think of going into my feeddogs and cleaning - and I've just sewn fleece - and lots of it - so maybe time to clean house on my machine before beginning my new baby quilt I'm starting.
