I am a happy camper today.Went to one of our Walmarts and happen to see the store manager.I stopped him and asked if this store would get the fabric back....He said yes, remodel will be in august and soon after they should have it set up. :-D :-D
For any Quilters in SW Oklahoma ,this is the Walmart on Quannah Parker Trailways and 67th.
I don't know about the other on on Sheridan.

What I think is so crazy ,they just remodeled 2 years ago,to take the fabric out.

Is that the WALMART in Avon or Lorain? I usually do NOT shop at "The Walmarts" but loved the ol' Elyria fabric dept. Either one will be some good competition (I hope) for JoAnn's. YIPPEE!

I had heard bringing back fabric is dependent upon the viability of the electronics department. Unfortunately our small town electronics department is thriving ... so for one NE Oklahoma Wal-Mart... no fabric return

Yes, I just posted earlier that our Walmart in my area has started getting them in. I can't wait until they all arrive.

We never lost our fabric department, but the local store is remodelling and that seems to be when fabric and craft supplies disappear. So far, it looks like they might be expanding! Yeah!

Last week I was told by an WM assoc in a TX store, that there was a meeting in Bentonville, AR and WM acknowledged it was a mistake to take the fabric depts out of the stores...Well that is a first!!! Yes most stores were remodeled to take out the fabrics and to make room for party and scrapbooking. Don't think those products have taken over as well as Bentonville predicted they would.
Just hope they bring back the great line of Cranston fabrics. Looking forward to it!!!!!
    Thanks for the heads up!
