Denim is heavy...I love the rag ones they are fast durable and easy. You need no batting, can use flannel on one side or cottons. They are warm and easy to wash..My choice...I will post pictures tomorrow when Ds is up to help me use my camera...I only know how to use my phone to do pictures and i have changed my plan...

I can't attach the photo, but search for Blue Jean Log Cabin."
I got a beautiful pattern. The centers were done with a very dark denim. The lights and darks were done from old jeans. The reasult is a VERY heavy and beautiful quilt. Due to the thickness, the quilt was tied.

I made these out of my dad's old jeans when he died for my siblings & myself. Some of his clothes are in there too.

can't send a picture-gave the quilt away, but it was done in a 3-d bowtie. Denium squares 6'' with different colored bandanas as the bowties. did a simple cotton plain backing and tied it with hidden stitches.

This is the only denim quilt I've made.....it was fun to do but it did get very heavy working on it.

Ok Billy here is 1 of them. This is my DS's jean quilt with the t-shirt backing. These were all of his t-shirts that he wouldn't let me get rid of and some of the jeans were his too. It is far from perfect as I had no idea as to what I was doing. Couldn't find the other 2, will post when I do.

Mine has no batting. They are extremely heavy and so warm.
