    Question Online shops

I was looking online at different sites. Where do you all shop online? I do have some local shops but at times I will do online shopping.

There are so many good places! A lot depends on what you like, what size, all sorts of things.

I am trying to not buy fabrics and have joined the Fabric Moratorium. Sometimes though I still need things and my first place is

Been using them for years, always very good service. My local shops typically don't carry the Kona Solids I want, so I get them there. I like and recommend their scrap packs for stash building.

When I am looking for fabric, I am often looking for some very specific things and so my next stop is Amazon. Long story but I had my Ebay user identity stolen and really try not to go there.

Several of my Amazon deals led me to this local chain in Michigan -- right from where my Hubby is from!

Seems to be the sort of great all around local fabric store that has completely gone out of business in my area.

I've shopped at many, but my favorite is QuiltInADay https://www.quiltinaday.com/. They have some amazing deals, especially in their clearance. They give an inch extra most of the time for shrinkage. And they TEAR the fabric, so it always comes on grain, meaning that you don't lose anything straightening the grain. And their shipping is reasonably fast.

I've always liked Whittle Fabrics https://www.whittlesfabrics.com/ for customer service, although most of their fabric isn't my taste, so I don't order from them as much as I would like.

I also have bought from Thousands of Bolts https://www.thousandsofbolts.com from time to time. They are quick to ship and have a huge selection at decent prices.

I forgot to mention I've ordered from Fabric Shack too (https://www.fabricshack.com/) although I haven't done so in many years. They have good quality and some pretty excellent sales.

Iceblossom is right, there are so many good online shops but it often depends on what you are looking for.

In addition to what she posted I also like Thousands of Bolts, Quilts n Gifts, Over the Rainbow, Stitch n Time to name a few.

That being said, I try to support my LQS before searching online.

I’ve been shopping with fabric.com for 19+ years. There are other shops I do shop with on occasion but if I cannot get what I need locally fabric.com is my first place to look. I’ve also been participating in the fabshophop for years so have had the opportunity to browse and shop with many shops all across the country. There are some great shops out there who have an on line presence. There have been a few I found doing the hop that I’ve been able to visit when traveling too.

I used to love Fabric.com for their grab bags. I got many pieces I'd have never otherwise bought but that broadened my horizons. Sadly, they don't sell them anymore.

Fabric.com is now owned by Amazon.

My favorite online shop is Fat Quarter Shop. There prices are the same as fabric.com, Msqc, etc. , they always are among the first to have new fabrics, they do great bom’s and sew along kits and are very generous in those in case of cutting errors etc., and they have fast shipping. They also fold and package fabric nicely. I ordered several cuts of a fabric line from fabric.com and it arrived all haphazard and wrinkled. From FQS it arrives nicely folded and in a ziplock bag.

My parents are from Midland Michigan and I have several relatives still in the general area. I guess my next road trip may have to incorporate Field Fabrics. LOL
