Target just had a $5 sale on the large plastic storage bins with snap-lock tops. I stocked up on them since I'm organizing my stash (trying to). I use the 2 and 3 gal. ziploc storage bags for projects I'm currently working on and store them on the bookcase shelf so I can see them to keep me reminded to get busy.

I have to cart my stuff back and forth from the bedroom to dining room. The 2 gallon ziploc bags work best for me.

I use the plastic storage containers, around the shoebox size. They usually only cost a dollar or so. the whole project goes into one container, along with the pattern that I plan to use. That way I don't look at the fabric that I have intended for a specific project and not know what I had planned. I've done that before and sat scratching my head trying to figure out was I was doing.

Another idea: One of the ladies in our class goes to the local pizza place and asks them if they will give or sell new pizza boxes. She says that most often they just give her one or two at a time. I don't think she has asked for more than two at a time tho.

She says the medium size is perfect for 12" blocks. Easy to transport to class too.

I've seen others use pizza boxes and they do look handy. I have just always used zip lock bags. But I may try the pizza boxes the next time I order one.

I am fighting a losing battle with the space in my place. My UFO's are in a good sized plastic box under the bed. My current projects vary in their placement. One I just started and have most of the fabric cut, but waiting for an order of more of one color. I cut the binding and border first so that it is all one piece. This is in plastic bags with slips of paper saying what it is. I am working on one that is a copy of Twistedstitcher's Boxed Squares. It is on the table right now, and I pray that the kitties leave it alone.

Great idea, I have mine in clear plastic boxes.

Tell those kitties to behave themselves.

Yesterday I laid a quilt out on my bed, (to big for the design wall). Of course both kitties had to inspect what I was doing on "their" bed.
I don't use the pizza boxes bc you can't see what's in them. I like clear bags or boxes.

I really like the clear plastic boxes or zip-loc bags for my projects as I can easily see the ufos that I can work on whenever I go to the shelf. The opague boxes seem to put them out of sight/out of mind; not intentionally, just get attracted to new projects and forget they are there. But then it's like a lost Christmas present when they reappear. I am very fussy about the lids of the plastic boxes though. I hate the frustration if they don't open easily. Even the dollar store boxes have some lids that open very easily so it doesn't mean you must pay a higher price.

    Thanks for all the suggestion.

I really don't like the look of all those totes laying on my floors.
