I have an Ott lite, floor model lamp. I really like it, and use it daily, but it has started acting up! Sometimes it won't turn on. The bulb will glow, but won't come on all the way. When this happens, it sometimes won't come on for an hour or so. When it does come on, it will blink after a min. or 2. Sometimes will blink a couple times. Does anyone else have an ott lite with this problem, and if so, have your cured the problem, and how? I don't want to give up the lite, but wonder if it is safe to use now. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Two things come to mind. The obvious is, is it time for a new bulb? The second one is, I found that sometimes my bulbs needs to be forced back into place, somehow it wiggles out...if that happens I get all the blinking, etc as well. Mine gives a good snap if it's in right....

Maybe just needs a new bulb? I know they are expensive, but they are so worth it. They last a very long time.

My light needs the bulb pushed back in place at times.

I agree, try pushing it in first, if that doesn't work, try a new bulb.
