Default A "perfect" sewing experience -

The pattern instructions were easy to understand and all the dimensions given were correct -
The fabrics behaved perfectly - no bleeding, shrinking, or excessive raveling -
All the fabrics wanted/needed were available in adequate amounts -
There were no cutting errors - on either the fabric or on fingers -
The sewing machine operated perfectly -
The thread never ran out in the middle of a seam -
The iron never sputtered, spit, or was too hot -
No one needed/wanted to be fed while one was on a roll -
The cats stayed on the floor -

So - what contributes to your "perfect" sewing experiences?

My brain is fully functional and doesn't go "huh" when reading the directions.

Is this your companion piece to the other post about all that can go wrong?

I find the perfect pattern and it needs exactly the amount of fabric I bought for a future project
