I have 2 Gidget 2 tables but don't take them anywhere. They are terrific and sturdy....I actually have my Elissimo on one of them. A friend brings one to classes with her and with the wheels on it, it seems to move about pretty easily for her...

I have a folding table from Sam's - it's about 3x6. I like it because it has an adjustable height feature. It's light weight so easy to move around. I think it was about $30. I also have 2 of the larger folding tables - also from Sam's that I can push together and use for sandwiching projects. They were about $40.00 each.

I have one of each of the Gidget tables. The Gidget 2 has wheels. They are pretty heavy so the wheels are a great help. My sewing room is quite small so they work very well for me. They are very solid and steady until I try to sew at warp speed and then they shake a little, good news is that I rarely try to use that speed.

When I bought my big Koala table, I found that I needed a smaller table for my smaller sewing machine. I had only a small space (39") on one wall. The Gidget tables were 40" so that eliminated them. The area out from the wall wasn't very big either so the 36" tables from the discount stores were too wide. I ended up with the Sew-EZ and love it! As Goldilocks would say, It's juuust right! But I say you have to pick what works best for you. If I could have fit it in, I would have bought a cheaper table. But he Sew-EZ is a quality product, very well made, and I would highly recommend it.

I have the Gidget 1 and, like another poster said above, I don't really consider it portable. I have my main sewing machine set up in it. It would be pretty heavy to haul anywhere, though.

I've looked at the Sew Ezi online and that one certainly seems more portable, because it has the wheels and the case, and I think it's plastic, isn't it? The Gidget is wood and metal.

I have the sew-ezi !!! Love it. I have had it for years and haul it all over the place... also use it at home so I have a level surface to sew on. Have not heard or seen the other ones so I cannot compare.

Personally, I wouldn't consider taking any of them out of the house! :)

I bought 2 of those folding Lifetime tables approx 24" x 18". The can be adjusted to one of 3 different heights. Got mine on sale: 1 @ Costco/Sam's club and 1 @ an office supply store. Less than $30 each.

I find I don't usually use an extention table when I sew/quilt. But, I went to a local plastics company and they cut me a table top that fits perfectly around my machine. I had to make my own template so I made a pattern out of layers of freezer paper ironed together [stronger than brown paper] and then took that to them. I will take that to a retreat, but don't go as much as I'd want to. Darn.

I have the Sew-Ezi table and I absolutely LOVE it. I got 2 inserts, one for my Elna and one for my Bernina. The wheels make it especially handy to take along to retreats, plus I used 2 wooden TV trays, one to make a portable cutting table (I used double stick tape to secure a small cutting mat) and the other to make an ironing table to take with me too. I just bungie them to the outside of the Sew-Ezi and wheel them along with me wherever I go sewing. It is extremely sturdy and very roomy. I've only seen pictures of the Gidget, but the machine sits in the middle of the table and doesn't seem to allow much room to the left of the needle for your project.
Right now, I have my Sew-Ezi set up in the living room to sew, since it's too hot to sew in my sewing room. It doesn't take up much room, it's easy to move to clean around...can you tell I love my Sew-Ezi??? LOL
