70.... Of course I had to get the kids raised (9 total over the years... most not ours by birth) and work (teacher) until retirement so that I'd have TIME to quilt. My husband discovered he likes to create in the kitchen and he loves the fact that I quilt.

By the way, what does your husband do???????

71, but been quilting for lots of years

I don't run anymore, but I excercise every day,
mostly to keep in shape so
    At 69 I didn't feel old,
turning 70 suddenly just made me feel old .
    At least in my mind.

71 here. I only read the first 10 pages and was very surprised (along with your husband I bed) that so many are in their 40s and 50s. Wish I had started quilting then. I started quilting in 2005 while caring for my Mom who had alzhimers.

My age is 80 - Maybe your husband is only partially right.

70 but still young at heart. I have been told that I don't look my age so that helps because I don't feel my age.
