    Default Quick silly question

I have seen at the Road to Ca show two years ago some kind of fabric that is used as a middle layer in rag quilts but i didn't buy any and i can't remember what it was.It is not the flannel though. I have used warm and natural batting which makes the quilt really nice heavy and warm but i need to cut a lot of kits with the dies and i think for shipping that material would be less than batting (if i remember it correctly).
    Thanks

Homespun is often used in rag quilts. It's a loose weave cotton.

    FOUND IT!!!

It's called "Osnaburg" and i have never used it but the lady at the booth used it with the rag quilts and said it was the best to use.

soooo anyone used it? do you like it and prefer it over batting or flannel?

I have used it--about 15 years ago--in a homespun fabric jacket. The onasburg is a gauzy type of fabric which is not heavy and was used many years ago as curtain fabric. I liked using it for the jacket, but have not used it since.
