Do you tend to do the same pattern for most of your quilts or a different pattern for each?

I like trying new designs, but for some reason, I keep going back to the same old pattern. . . . . . is that a bad thing??

I do what i'm comfortable with and the purpose the quilt is used for. I have a simple three piece design that I use over and over. It changes look with the fabrics I am using.
It is quick and easy and varied from the plain square block.
However, if you want to improve your skill you might consider doing different blocks that require different techniques.

Most of the time I have not repeated quilts/pattern in my 8 yrs of piecing/quilting. I think the only ones that I have repeated is for a few table runners (fast and easy).

I have only once repeated a pattern and it was the twisted log cabin design I liked it so much. I love to do new things so I dont get burnt out piecing.

So many patterns, so little time. I can't see ever repeating a pattern unless it's by special request.

I usually go with a new design, my list of to-do's is huge! I think the only ones I've repeated are bargellos & log cabins (but I've varied with spirals, wonky & traditional).

To be honest, I usually don't have a plan in mind when I start a quilt & just design on the fly.

I typically do not repeat. But there are a few patterns that lend them selves well to the type of scraps I want to use up , for instance log cabin goes well for long sinky strips in various lenghts.

Once I've done something I have a hard time doing it again but I have. I did matching quilt patterns (different fabrics) for twin ggds. Just posted the pix. But usually I don't do them twice. Why keep climbing Pike's Peak? Move on to other mountain ranges. There's just so many out there that I want to do I don't like to take the time to repeat things.
