Frarose, I live in Eureka,MO and in about 4 years hope to be a retired teacher who can spend a lot more time quilting. Also, have a history of sewing first. I just started quilting about 3 years ago and find it relaxing, rewarding and creative. I love it. Maybe there will be something in St. Louis.

I would love to go to a retreat but I live in MO and don't have anyone to go with I didn't even go to the show in Kentucky because I didn't want to go alone. I live in the Cape area.

Oh, these all seem like such fun. The idea of hubby coming too would be good if one was held while we are driving to Fl. for winter otherwise too far and too early in Sept but
some yr I will get to a retreat.

Annual affair with over 300 attending but enough teachers to have reasonably sized classes. I'll be teaching 3 classes there: Tube Quilting, Skinny Strings and Little Bitty Pieces and Simple Binding. Lots of other classes to be offered. Reasonable price as well.

My cousin-in-law and I were just talking about what fun it would be to have a retreat at a camp-type place where we could pull our vintage trailers. Some place with facilities for a big sewing room/kitchen, good restroom/shower facilities maybe cabins, mints on the pillows at night :). I'm going to have to do some searching for my region of the country.
