Haven't tried circles, don't appeal to my country style. Totally agree that paper piecing is not fun to me.

I love doing paper piecing & applique. To me they are more accomplishing than a larger quilt. They do not take as long so the results are quicker & seem more gratifying? I am not a patient person by any means so I am surprised I have the patience especially for paper piecing.
Give it a try! I got my sister hooked!

I am very visual and have to be able to visualize a project before I do it. I just can't see how curves work so I have never tried them and am hesitant to do so. I need to find a class to learn how to do them.

Major DITTO time here. Both scare me to no end. I don't even like looking at patterns that have them!

Mine is the log cabin block. I tried to make a table runner as my second project when I started quilting' I thought it looked easy. Well it used 1 inch strips. I should never have tried something with such small pieces as my second project. It was a mess! I am still scared of log cabins, but I love them Soon I will attempt one again, but with MUCH bigger pieces:)

For me, postage stamp quilts, circles and applique. I have done machine applique for years and years; back before there were machines specially made for applique. One day I will tackle those round shapes. I tried needle turn and found with my arthritic wrists and hands I can't do it perfect enough to suit me. So no hand work any more. But when I see a postage stamp quilt it just makes me shiver; they are gorgeous but just too many seams to make perfect.

Sewing curves is my phobia. I'e tried and can't get them to turn out so that they lay flat.
