    You can bet that if more men were trying to sandwich quilts there would be a tool to do this for us. I should convince my mechanical engineer son to design something......

    If it is a real issue, like lack of space, bad knees, etc.....you can always take the top, batting and backing to a quilter with a long arm and have them load the quilt, then baste it.....I had a huge king size done that way for $25....it was worth it!
