I am adding a sashing with no cornerstones and am having difficulting lining them up. Is there a trick to get them straight without the cornerstone?

When I do a solid sashing, I measure and mark the back side as to where it should line up. Eg. 2" to meet up with the sashing from other direction, 12" for the block size, 2" for next sashing, etc.

Do you add a corner stone? If not, how do you complete the little corner?

I sew the bottom sash to each block and join them into a long, vertical strip. Add the vertical sashing to one side of the strip. Take a ruler and lay it out to the edge .... Oh, here are a couple of pictures! Hope this makes it easier!

Apologize for untrimmed top block, but just to give you the idea!

    Line up with ruler

    Draw chalk lines to edge

Line up sashing on next block strip with chalk marks
