This is my first time and Id like to know if there is a video for this. I did it last night and I dont know if you have to line up with anything or just eye ball it. It turned out ok, but I didnt know how hard it is to go straight.

I don't like to do stitch-in-the-ditch because I am fussy about accuracy and it is too hard for me to stay in the ditch.

I do "kinda in the ditch" and "it occasionally hit the ditch!" ;0)

Well I did do it OK, but I eye balled it. So I saw a couple of videos that said you sewed next to the seam, so I did that, but theres no guide line. It looks nice, I just did know if I where doing it correct. Thanks

Well at this point, my first quilt, I would stress myself if I get fussy. Maybe on down the road, but not right now. Thanks

I tend to go curvy. i curve to the left and then to the right all the way down. adds more interest and you don't have to aim for anything.

Too funny! My machine has a serpentine stitch that I prefer using over the SITD...but the wine still sounds good to me! LOL

Well if I drink the wine and use the serpentine stitch, I might invent my very own stitch. haha..

See if you can get a stitch-in-the-ditch foot for your machine. They are brilliant!

It has a small bar on the front which pushes aside the fabric next to the seam, the needle hits the ditch dead on and the fabric folds back over it. Voila - invisible ditch stitching.
