I bought some plastic thread boxes when I lived in Cal. They have them for regular threas and one for serger threads. They are clear plastic with pegs to hold you threads. I have about 15 of them full of threas by colors. I think the name of the company was Darice Inc. They are a craft place.

My husband just put together my dream sewing cabinet/ table, it's an Arrow Bertha with plastic bins on the insides of the doors, perfect for the spools of Connecting Threads thread on sale and large cones if you put them upside down, I'm a lucky girl.

I have big embroidery cottons and I need to find some where to keep them clean-- I live on a busy highway and it gets real dusty from the road.

Last year when we redid my sewing room, I made over an old medicine cabinet. It was an oak cabinet with a mirror in the door. I took the mirror out and had glass cut to fit. Now, I have 4 -5 shelves that I can arrange the spools in color order, about 3 large spools deep. It works great. I did have a spool rack that hung in the open on the wall. I didn't like the dust they collected. This keeps them neat and clean...and clearly visible.

You could also take a piece of plastic by the yard and attach it to your June Taylor Rack and have it cover you thread. I have seen several different sewing rooms doing this.

I keep a decorative tea towel over the top. It catches the dust and can be washed.

I like the dust, it matches the rest of the house. hahaha
