I went to our Wal Mart last week and they were SOOOOO excited, said "we have fabric back"...I went back and looked. Ha...they had mini bolts of fabric, 2 yard bolts. about 30 in total and alot of pre-cuts but NO big bolts of fabric and not many colors to choose from. Thats not "fabric" to me! I sure hope they bring back the big bolts and panels and a better variety!

My Walmart has the pre-cut fabric, some fat quarters, and charms. They also have batting. Since I work there I also receive an extra 10% discount. But I still see myself going to JoAnn's or if I can find a LQS I will go to that.

Just because selection and quality will probably be much better than any Walmart.

Me too. I also tired of paying shipping.

Our store has got the bolts back, plus the "creative cuts" and a whole wall of notions. Employees tell me that all the stock is not yet in and that even if it were, every employee in the store is pulling triple and quadruple duty and it would be hard to get it on the shelves because of that. Despite the problems, I have already bought four yards (like I really needed it) and have used at least one yard for binding on four small quilts and am going to use another yard for lining on a purse today. froggyintexas

Went to walmart yesterday and had a strange experience. We never lost our fabric, but they are redoing that area and adding to it. They had "maps" taped to the shelves showing where every bolt shold go. Most of the bots were in shopping carts waiting for their new homes. Had to do my shopping out of the carts. Must say, it didn't stop me!
