Before I could get programs from our Direct TV I used to listen to audiobooks on the laptop. Now we've changed to Dish and I've had my basement wired to get TV programs. I love the Duggars, Long Island Medium, Trauma in the ER, Mysteries and in general anything I don't really have to watch but can listen to. It's just there to keep me from talking to myself!

I listen to books. If I don't have something new, I will listen to an old favorite again.

I love the silence! I am a retired high school teacher and I still can't get enough quiet.

I usually have a Christian rock music station on. Sometimes a book on CD. I can't see the TV from where I sew.
I too like BBC programs, Doc Martin,Dr. Who,Call the Midwife and Larkrise to Candleford are my favorites.

I'd love to watch the LA Dodgers, but alas I have no pay TV, I seldom get to watch any major league baseball games.

I have the TV going. It's never quiet in our house. Quiet drives me nuts. LOL

Like to watch BBC also, but enjoy the challenges like Project Runway, Top Chef, Amazing Race etc. Or I listen to the music from back when that I can sing to...... love love to sing!!! I also have the curtains open and try to catch a glimps of the butterfly or hummingbird in my flowers. Oh I love my sewing room!!

I have all 7 seasons of the West Wing on DVD and I just keep playing them in order while I sew. When I'm done, I just start again. People think I am nuts, but it is so well written that I just love the dialogue. I have seen it so many times, that I don't really need to watch. I find it really soothing to sew and watch that. Have tried other series, but none can stand repetition except the WW.
