I have a Bernina 440 QE and I love it. I have a workhorse older Singer (only used to sew teddy bears as the fur and leather are hard on a sewing machine). I also have a Juki midarm that I'm just starting to work with on my quilting frame. I gave away a beautiful viking to my DD and I gave away a beautiful older solid metal Singer to other DD (she loves vintage things). Both use them and love them.

I have the machines I want.

I can't do the long arm at this time - we are preparing to either retire in the next 10 years or take an overseas assignment. BUT I have a savings account for my eventual long arm!

I have a Bernina Series 8 (830), Bernina 350, Janome Serger (low end), 2 low end Janome sewing machines, and 2 Featherweights (a 1934 and a 1948, they are both work and have a beautiful stitch). At this late date of my life, I decided that I would get what I want.

2 Vikings, a D1 and a Lily, and the newest addition is my girl Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.0 which far exceeds and of the others! I quilt and sew mostly on my Pfaff and I LOVE the built in walking foot. Wish I would have gotton the Pfaff in the first place!

I have a cheap Brother CS8080PRW from wally world and a Janome 6500. I like them both- I would like a dedicated embroidery machine but for now I am happy with what I have and have no plans to add another anytime soon; besides I have no room for anything more!!

I have a Bernina 830, Pfaff 1473, older brother, Singer ?, can't remember the #, 9 black featherweight and 1 green/white featherweights, 2 treadle, older Singer industrial and I'm sure I forgot some of them, but they are in the closet or our other house. I don't need anymore machines, I just need time to use them. I find sewing machines are like cars, each one is different and better for certain things.

I have so many sewing machines, I'm ashamed, but my 6600 Janome is my favorite.

I also have a Brother machine, not sure about the series number, and have had it for years. Before that I had a machine in a cabinet I got at Sears. (Showing my age.) But recently I got enough money and purchased a Janome. It was on sale for $450, more in my price range.

My sister has several vintage machines (including an antique from the 1860's), a Viking and two Nolting longarm machines.

One of my neices has a Viking and is "upgrading".

    Quilting runs in the family.
