I enjoy the choosing fabric, the pattern, sometimes not the cutting but when it comes to sandwhiching the quilt and deciding what to quilt on it... that's when I procrastinate... sometimes the tops sit there for months. This year though I told myself that I am not going to create anymore UFO's.

I don't procrastinate unless the quilt or project isn't turning out as I'd envisioned. If I get unhappy with it, it's hard to keep going.

It takes me forever to pick the pattern and coordinating fabrics. Choosing appropriate fabrics is hard for me and I have an anxiety attack over the cost of fabric...

Gramie BJ: Have you tried using glue to sandwich? I've done a couple that way (after learning about it here on the boards, thank you very much!) and it is SOOOO much less painful and time-consuming.

have not tried it yet, have heard you need a larger area than I have to lay it out glue and let dry.

I think I procrastinate with borders, have no idea why but usually the borders take me forever. I love getting the piecing done and see it come together but borders usually get put on when I go to quilt it or I do several borders on tops at once. I think I procrastinate to sew when I know I don't have time to finish, for example if I start sewing at 12, I know I have to stop at 4 because the monsters come home and it's time to start dinner, so I figure tomorrow I'll start sewing when I get up and so on and so on lol

I know that after a bit of machine time I will be in pain. Very discouraging.

For me, I think it's genetic. I work better under pressure. I'll visualize what I what accomplished, start the process of choosing fabrics, etc. But when it comes to starting it and making it, well that's where the procrastination sets in. So I come to here, see if something can lite my spark.
