I only "unsew" and re-sew the same piece a max. of 3 times. After that it's usually too stretched to ever be right again so I re-cut and start fresh.

I'm not going to answer this question cause I'm totally embarrassed. Being the stubborn person that I am I was determined to get it right, even ended up making a new block completely!

After PP the 16 blocks I had to remove the paper as it was too bulky and I sewed each seam between two and six times average - only one tread apart and it looked terrible.
The record was 15 times till it was perfect

I kept counting each time and it felt like hitting the jackpot when it was straigt the second time.

YES!! You understand!!! These itty bitty mini's are gorgeous when done right, but "done right" means that if your thread is one thread thickness to the right or left of the line ... bye by gorgeous!!

Now a little explaining. Some of my boo boo's were "sewed not quite on the line" and some were other kinds of errors. Paper piecing being new to me, I sometimes put the piece down the wrong side up, I sometimes sewed along the wrong line, and I sometimes did it RIGHT but THOUGHT it was wrong.

So I wasn't always sewing in the same line on either the paper or the fabric.

And yes I'll post a pic when it is done.

There would'nt be enough chocoloate in the house for me to calm down, after I would have done it seven times.

3 times it's my limit!

Didn't even count!!! I was beginning to put together my "Warm Wishes" when I discovered my 1/4" foot isn't a true 1/4" foot! Aggghhhh!!! Finally solved the problem by taking advice from friends here and moving my needle a "tad" to the right! I did not know I could adjust the needle position using the stitch width button one tiny click at a time! Works perfect now!

My rule is to only re sew a seam three times, if it isn't perfect by then, I go on.

    But wait! There's more!!!

    1) It's a 2" seam!!!
    2) It's paper piecing!!!!!

So? Does this take the cake or what?

I'm going to go eat something now. I'm blaming it all on low blood sugar. Where is the chocolate???
Enough that I eventually had to scrap the pieces because I finally ripped the cloth with the seam ripper. It was a good thing I had bought yardage instead of fat quarters. froggyintexas
