No more than 3, then it gets trashed, and I start a new one. That's my excuse for buying more fabric than I need.

How funny. I was dealing with this earlier today. After 4 times of taking it out I considered the 5 time to be good enough.

Oh you gals make me feel so good. The first quilt I did was with my daughter and she would show me what to do and I would sew it. then she would rip it out and have me sew it again. Well to say the least I got laughing so hard I said if this quilt ever makes it it will be all thread and no fabric. Well we got it finished it and it turned out great.
But we got alot of laughs over it and to say the least it was alot of "blood, sweat, tears " but at least I learned how to do better. But I would say I redo about 3 times.
Like they say read the instructions before you start. will I read them over about a dozen times and measure about 5 times and hopefully the cut is right. What can I say I'm a cluts. kjym Kathy

Well, it depends on the fabric. I've got a flannel UFO that had a seam taken out 3x - by then, the fabric was all stretched askew. It's been in time out for 3 years now...

4 times and it was a long, seam on a king size border. Got me the Rippin' Queen award at our retreat. I was ready to toss it but had not brought the fabric with me to the retreat.
