Sewing pieced quilts, starting one finishing two. If I could keep that up I'd be in great shape

Hoping to finish a Christmas table topper and start a rooster table topper; that is, if we don't lose our power. Nor'easter coming and we still have a lot of trees with green leaves...ugh!!

I'm cheating, at least in terms of real sewing. A young lady I have worked with had a baby a few weeks early and has nothing ready. My daughter and I have managed to put a layette together rather cheaply (sale items, lightly used items) and I'm throwing together some polar fleece blankets this weekend. I did one large floor blanket, edges tied up in those little knots. I'm now sewing 3 receiving blankets (45x45) with two pieces of fleece stitched together, turned, and then lightly quilted to hold them together nicely. It's fast, easy, and kind of a no-brainer--but I'm actually having fun. :) Sometimes easy is nice!

Really wanted to get 2 christmas gifts pieced this month (log cabin for my Dad.... Summer at Mom's for my Mom). That would give me a good solid month to get them quilted.

Not as far along as I wanted to be. I'm 2/3 done with the log cabin --- only about 1/2 done on Mom's.

whew. Work has been crazy busy. Need to clean AND quilt this weekend. Wonder which one will win.

I got asked to embroider names on two owl Christmas decorations so I guess I am doing that. They are very cute owls so I am going to look for a similar pattern and make some for my own nieces.

need to finish a quilt. Finished one today but I have two others started that need my attention. One of them has photos and it will be a learning experience for me.
The wedding quilt I started long ago only needs some more quilting and binding to finish it. Maybe I should do it first!
The wedding was Memorial Day...I was told anytime within the first year is okay for a wedding quilt...

Working on the bag for my son's girlfriend for Christmas gift.

I didn't realize until I read more of the directions that you had to actually quilt on this bag...LOL. You see...I have never quilted anything. So...had to do both sides of the accent strips that are between all of the horizontal rows on the front and vertical rows on the back. Stitch in the ditch and I gotta brag on myself...I did a great job. Just a few spots where I "missed the ditch" but it is not that noticeable. It is a very complicated pattern for me since I've never put pockets in my other bags...or a lining and a bottom. It's fun but takes a lot of patience..which I am learning.
