    Hats off to you!!!!

I have read every reply and found them very interesting. Thank you Krystyna for starting it. (Your story is still the best :-) Where did you get your avatar?)

I wanted to have a name that said something about my outlook on life. No offense to others but I did not want to describe myself in relation to another person, pet, or place. The reason I am on here is because I get a real kick from new things. (I move a lot. I try lots of new things. I can't imagine life without change.)

We are here for such a short time and I want to experience as much as I can, and look for meaning in it all. I am a skeptic and a devil's advocate and I reject sameness arising from lack of imagination or lack of effort. There is no limit to what we can achieve if we have the right outlook to go with the amazing opportunities open to Western women these days. Quilting is a gorgeous expression of that.

My QB ID is acutally my daughter's nickname.
We started out with variations of it until one stuck.
This was when she was 2 years old.
    Mama Do
    Mama Doda
    Doda-day
finally just "Doda" stuck...(family call her this)
Only her friends call her "Do"

She's 19 years old now. Her real name is Jaleesa.

olebat, Back in the early 1970s, my science teacher formed a mountaineering group, off we went to climb, hike, and slither thru caves. Still love the smell of wet limestone, the absolute darkness and cherish the perfect circle scar on my wrist from putting my arm up in front of the carbide lamp. Doubt I would fit through that stovepipe where I got stuck temporarily my first trip thru Onyx cave. Thanks for the memory.
