How clever!!
I have a small iron made by Conair. It is also a steam iron. My DH made a miniature ironing board (which I covered) and decorated. It sits beside my my sewing machine just for that purpose.

I believe the board is about 15" long and 7 1/2" wide. It has a handle so I can take it to classes. I love this little iron and board.

I have a Clover mini that I have had for over 10 years. I don's use it often, but I do use it. I like it, but I have another stand for it as I have burned my fingers too many times to count. I have also a very old solid sole plate iron that I found at a resale shop (Habitat) that is small and gets very hot.

I have the clover mini iron and HATE it. I burned myself on it several times before I finally quit using it. I think it's poorly designed - for ME, at least.
I got the Dritz Petite Press and loved it so much, I bought a backup for myself and a couple for friends.
It has 4 heat settings and gets very hot on the highest one. It has an adjustable head, so you can adjust it for your comfort level. It has a sturdy stand. It has an auto shut-off at 60 minutes, which is WAY more generous than most irons.
You can purchase it at Joann's, and the good news is they consider it a "notion" and NOT an "iron", so when they put their "notions" wall on sale, guess what. The discount applies!

I have the Clover mini iron, and I have to agree with most of the comments on how easy it is to burn yourself many times. I purchased the special cover and stand that they sell and I really can't recommend it. The mug or mason jar ideas would be a much better thing to use. Wish I would have thought of it when I was trying to use my iron. I finally gave up on it when it slid off of the special cover without me realizing it and it burned a hole in my plastic carrying tote box. I just couldn't figure out where that funny smell was coming from.
So, instead, the Clover mini iron as been relegated to the drawer with all of the other things that I thought was a great idea when I bought it, but found unusable for one reason or another.

I have the rather old Clover Wedge iron and I use it all the time to open up seams.....I also have the large Rowenta and think it is too large for some tasks... I know there is a larger one out now which probably works well. However, my little mini has worked well for what I wanted it for.......

I bought the [h=2]Sunbeam Hot-2-Trot 800 Watt Compact Non-Stick Soleplate Travel Iron from Amazon for about $12. GREAT little iron and gets really HOT. Got it to take on quilt retreats but I also use it lot for tiny pieced blocks. LOVE it!![/h]

I have the mini clover iron an I am very happy with it....Yes, you do need to be careful not to burn yourself...I do use always something to hold the fabric down so my fingers are far away from the hot edge of the iron...Its a great tool ...I love it

The Prym Dritz Petite Press Portable Iron is a much better iron than the Clover mini. I have both and now never use the clover. It stays hot for an hour before automatically shutting off, if there has been no movement. The sole plate is slightly larger than the clover mini, which is great. I always thought the clover mini was too small.
