OH, and then I still need to work my job as a Hotel Manager, too! I am probably crazy to try to get these nine patches done by the deadline, but I really enjoyed the swap last time. It is fun getting blocks with different fabrics from the fabrics I have.
I can't imagine how busy you are right now. Wait... yes I can! I had a daughter's wedding 10 years ago and was supermom, sewing everything in the wedding but the gown. You have a lot on your plate! Just keep us posted how it's going and maybe sneaking in a few 9Ps here and there can be your sanity sewing. If it gets to be too much, don't kill yourself for this swap. There will be others!

aborning! You have a lot going! I'd need a 'to do' list with 'due by' dates for sure! More power to you, rah rah, go go!

SBG, looks like we were thinking the same at the same time, typing and posting. lol What? You didn't sew the wedding dress too? I remember you altering or hemming one not long ago. :-)

I am working away. I have been just sewing strips right now. Hoping today to get them cut up and into patches. I think I am having a little ocd going on, I am trying so hard to make them coordinated. As tedious as that is, I am getting them done. Found a whole bag of 2.5" squares that I am going to use up. Not enough of them for another quilt but think I can get at least 8 or 9 blocks out of them.

Had to blow the dust bunnies off the iron to press some yardage for stripping. (Jk) Strips are cut and now to get a bit of sewing in this day. I just cut willy-nilly, so it will be fun to see how many blocks I end up with. Psst-I cut extras for myself. Don't tell.

It has indeed! My Q4Qr's swap quilt is on the back of our sofa :-) Love it still as much as the day I received it.

Aboring: you are crazy Busy, But the saying goes if you want something done ask the busiest person you know because she will get it done.

Whigrose: welcome I bet you get more than you you will done it's kind of crazy how fast they come together.

I just finished the top I made from the last 9 patch round. I give full credit to SBG as it was her pattern I copied and it's her swap that made it possible. I have a very difficult time with scrappy that I am desperately trying to overcome because I truly like what others make. To help get past that I tried something new for me. Aside from a few center blocks every other 9 patch was a grab and sew it in without looking at the ones that would be around it. I swear that almost gave me a panic attack but I just kept going. It was easier because I knew this quilt would be one I keep. Overall I'm pleased with it. Now pay no attention to the mess on the sides of the bed and get on your galloping horses because there are some issues in there that I should have fixed but chose not to.

    Billi,
Totally lovin' the top. You did great with your grab 'n sew :-)

Thanks for the welcome. Scrappys are my favorites-maybe because for soooooo many years I did applique. I'm quite over it now. Neither of our daughters would be interested in any of my applique pieces, but they'd go to mat for the scrappys. I made our oldest daughter a king scrappy for Christmas last year. Fun. Already thinking what to do with these blocks...

Billi, I love how the top turned out. It's very pretty with blue. And it's not my pattern... I got the inspiration from Eleanor Burns and I'm sure she saw it before, too. Glad you enjoyed it. How are you going to quilt it?

And people! Please don't obsess over using coordinated fabrics for your 9Ps! The checkerboard fabric will "coordinate" them enough. It's fun just to go wild. Don't cut your coordinated fabric lines for this. Use your leftovers and scraps! It works... trust me!
