Guess what I'm going to be getting in the next few days?
Brother Sewing and Embroidery Innovis 1500...
Finally getting my settlement tomorrow and hubby said I should get one because of all the pain I've had to go through and to top it off, paying off all of our small bills...I'm so excited to get them paid.

So my question is does anyone have this machine and how much do you like it?

Suzie, not to worry about the mix-up....just happy you like your dragon!

As for the process.....fused applique using a teensy zigzag stitch. I also used tear-away stabilizer on the back....mostly because of all those tiny twists and turns.

Sorry I don't remember exactly what sizes I used for stitch length and width, but if you're doing something like that just play with varying sizes til you get what you're wanting. This one was a challenge for me and the edges didn't come out quite as neat as I would have liked.

My machine is a Brother QC1000 with more kinds of stitches than I'll ever use, but I love it for all the convenience features that my "vintage" Singer didn't have.

Many thanks for the kudos, Suzie! Have a wonderful quilty day! Karen

Robert, that's my theme too. Let's trade, two for two...okay?
my colors are small prints like the 30's prints and those 30's soft colors, your colors are like mine too. block-white on white or white. I want small lace on the edges of my fans just like the pic. shows.
So here's your challenge!! Busy with my Dresden's and almost got them done, getting them on the back ground blocks tomorrow, then I have a friendship block almost done for my swap partner, and today will make Dotty's "cake" place mat. If time allows I will also make her a cake block for her Bd. So we have a full plate don't we? :)
