All the blocks are beauties..... needle turn applique just isn't my cup of tea....... Maybe if I could applique like all of you I would give it a try.... the blocks are wonderful.
As someone else said, these blocks can be machine appliqued and look wonderful, come on in and join us, The book has all the patterns in and most of us have increased the size from 7 1/21" to 10" blocks, pieces are not so fiddily that way.

Scrap, needle turn applique is only 1 method for applique. You can also use freezer paper for wither hand OR machine applique. Also there is fusbiles to glue the pieces down while you machine sdtitch around the edges. I started out doing the fusible method, but switched over to hand as I wasn't happy with my chosen way to embroider. Don't give up on the project because on a single technique. We'd love to have you join us. Besides, your screen name is perfect for a quilt like this!

I hated hand applique and I always avoided it. This is my first hand applique quilt and now I love it. I already have plans to make another applique quilt when I finish AOTH. I bought a book on line for $.99 that shows 24 different ways to applique. There is bound to be a technique that you will enjoy. Come on in, the water is great! :D :D :D
