Well, fooey!!!!! This block is terrible!!!!!! This one will definitely be a redo!!!!! You don't have to point out where all the goofs are because I already know. I'm so disgusted with this one!!!!!

Well, it's done, and now it's time to move on to the next block. It should turn out MUCH better!!!! :D I want to get caught up so I will be "on schedule." I will then go back and redo block #8.

YUCK!!!!! YUCK!!!!!! YUCK!!!!!!!! (BTW: it looks distorted because it's on a curved surface. The embroidered lilypad is actually done correctly even though it doesn't look like it in the picture. I took this pic with the block on the back of a chair so that's why the lilypad looks larger at the bottom and narrower at the top.)

what in the world is wrong with me?
I look and I look, but I don't see anything but beautiful in front of me, even though pab58 says her block is yuck?
    I just don't understand.
Maybe my new glasses are faulty.
    Maybe I'm going blind.
Maybe...lol, the block is just wonderful!!!!!

Me to Mousie, I agree with you, nothing wrong with that. Hang fire till you have done several and when they are all together I promise you there will be no yukky ones in there.

Okay, okay, I'll point the problems out to you gals!  Look at the petals! They look like "Xs" instead of separate petals. There should be spaces between the groups of petals, and I have NONE! Look back at the other pics of completed blocks, and you'll see what I mean (or look in the book). The second problem is that my petals meet and form straight sides instead of nice curves as they come towards the center of the flower. What in the world did I do wrong to get them to do this????  I followed my lines exactly as they were drawn, and I drew them exactly the way they were on the pattern.  Then my hearts are supposed to touch the points around the lilypad, and they don't. :-(

Okay, I've had my cry.   My next block will be so-o-o-o much better.
