I have always wanted to do one of those quilts did you find it very hard to construct? I've been quilting for over 10 years so I know the basics etc but that pattern always looks so hard to do.

I had the pattern, and took a class. The most important thing was to take it one strip at a time, and use a design wall. I put all the strips up on the wall, and could see any mistakes (there were quite a few) before sewing the strips together.

It all starts with the strip sets that get sub cut into different width strips.

I did a diagonal through each little square following the flow of the fabrics with a varigated thread that had all the colours in it.

Man that looks tough. Do you rip your hair out along with the stitches if you get a patch out of order??
I definitely need to try one of these gah-juss beauties.
