have you all watched the vidio that miholmes posted here on the blog. i really enjoyed it. 1970's documentary. I have it bookmarked to watch it thru again sometime. her old fashioned quilt frame. a thimble on her thumb and middle finger. i hadn't caught her 2 threads for quilting, but someone else on his post said that.

well, you know, it doesn't have to be the complete, done jane to be a jane. you could set what blocks you have done with plain blocks in between, or plain strips between, and just finish a quilt with what you have done. UNLESS YOU WANT TO PICK IT UP AND FINISH IT 2 OR 3 BLOCKS A DAY......

    :)

Might just do that! just to save the first draft from being an ufo. But a full jane is in my blood, I know it Maybe a purple Jane ( my favorite color)

Oh ouch! But...keeping your own are always worth it! They do get a bit pricey though! Congrats on staying with the quilting plan...you'll be totally done before you know it!

i sat down and did several blocks while we were listening to the news. and afterwards, was accused of 'trying to get it done'. i really need to get on a couple others as well. but it seems to be a project that you can do a little of, when you don't feel like doing anything else.

Exactly! You can do just a few blocks or a few stitches at a time. Eventually...it will get done. I worked on several other projects when doing Jane. However, I have to admit that when I got towards the end...."katie, bar the door!! I was plowing ahead with Jane!"

Amazing. I'd love to do this, but I'm not sure I am ready for the commitment. I like to do a pattern and get at least the top done before I start another project. You did a great job.
