That's too bad that you are disappointed with your quilt. It is beautiful and you did a great job.

That would be the icing on the cake, a bed warmer and shams in a colorful floral. PLEASE, don't do a thing to that quilt It's gorgeous as it is. Don't ruin it. I wish I was brave enough to do one.

I think putting it away for a few weeks might help you love it. :-)

If that does not work, I have two ideas for you:

    1) get a fluffy washable yarn and sew it under some of the area (stems and leaves?) to make them pop out more. trapunto i think.

    2) take a very light pastel fabric marker, and start enhancing the feather work. kind of a scary idea!

I think it looks great, and I am amazed by your patience!

Ya know what? I've used the colored crayons and colored pencils. I use the Pentel brand and after they are heat set they don't bleed or wash out. That may be the solution to your "problem". But I gotta say , its beautiful the way it is and I wouldn't do a thing.

I think it is quite beautiful, myself. Anyone would be totally impressed by the magnitude of work that a quilt like that entails. Enjoy it and be proud of it!

I think this is amazing and given all the work you put into it, its probably hard to be objective. The quilting work is just beautiful.

You posted a wholecloth quilt earlier this summer. I was so in awe of your quilting. This one is also amazing. I so admire your work. Sometimes it is just like cooking, I never enjoy the Thanksgiving meal as much as I should because I am around the fragrance all day. I enjoy it when someone else does the cooking - because doing the cooking (or sewing) mutes our senses. I think that might be what happened to you. Enjoy your quilt and if you want to - surprise your daughter, the joy of her loving and enjoying it will spark happiness and satisfaction in you.

You did an absolutely gorgeous job and you should put it on the bed. However I painted my bedroom blue and it would look so stunning on my bed
