Thank you all so much for the votes of confidence... it truly took me months to work up the nerve to even start this project.
I'm a newbie and have only completed 1 twin size quilt and a couple of lap quilts, so the thought of even trying a bargello was pretty daunting. Especially after seeing some of the beauties that have been posted on this forum.
But then I said to myself, you have less than $10 invested in this, what could it hurt...

I did look at a pattern for a bargello, but it scared me to death when I looked at it... so intimidating! I'm not good with patterns at all, I really do need to take a quilting class to learn how to read a pattern. I guess I inherited that from my Mother and Grandmother, both were avid quilters, but never could use a pattern.

But I would encourage anyone who hasn't done one before.. you have to try it! I know I'm no where near finished, but it's going together so much easier than I expected. I think I have spent more time ironing seams than on anything else in this project.

Can't wait to get home tonight and add a few more strips to see where it goes from here.

    It's wonderful!
The only things you'll have to "unsew" are those ends that are sticking out to put them on the other ends of the strips.
    You did a great job!
