    I like the compromise one also, after that I like #3.

    1st one is a strong heavier border.
    2nd feels lighter, softer.
    3rd seems a perfect balance for a delicate beautiful quilt.
    But, any of them would look beautiful.

    At first I liked #1 better, but I actually like your compromise the best.

    I like #1. Just saw the compromise and I liked that one too.

    I like #3. It looks delicate like the center. It makes it look light and airy.

    I like the third choice. The double border...really frames the star without overpowering it. The first border seems too heavy to me and the second alternative seems unfinished. Really pretty!
