beautiful quilt , well if he was a older man ,maybe that is just the way he was raised, my dad who is 89 still believes in doing somethings the old fashion way, i dont think he would speak up and say something like that but he would think it to himself

He's entitled to his opinion as you are to yours.Perhaps you should have gently told him so and continued to bind your lovely work in the comfort of the office.
Not many of us go down to the milking shed to milk the cow in order to get milk for our coffee or to churn to make butter any more, either...people sometimes have silly opinions when they become a little senile.
Just laugh those people off and tell them to move with the times. We are not so poor any more.

That's a beautiful quilt and he was a grumpy old man.

Big HUG from Australia, absolutely love your quilt. Don't take any notice of people that don't get it in future, life is to short to worry about what others think. You've done a great job and going by some of the comments I've read, the envy of many a fellow quilter. ♥♥

Absolutely gorgeous, I always use new fabrics. I might use clothing if I couldn't afford new fabrics. I would have ignored that grouch. I wonder how many quilts he has nade.

The quilt is beautiful. The quilt police come in all sorts of disguises. Don't let someone like him get you down, he's sounds like a bitter old man. Always remember it is your quilt and you do it the way you want to do it.

This is an example of what I hope to someday be able accomplish with my quilting, it is absolutly stunning. He is also the perfect example of a grummy old pin head.

Dear Bobbielinks, I'm very sorry that a stranger ruined your day & your pleasure in your work. Your quilt is fabulous, I am in awe of your quilting! Let his hateful words flow right on by and just enjoy the compliments you will receive here.
