Very nice. I've looked at all those blocks on the AQS website. Just love them with the white background.

I LOVE your quilt! I understand QAYG and have done many but not this large. I am wondering how you finished the back. I don't see sashing strips on the front. Are there hand sewn strips on the back? You do such lovely work, it never hurts to ask an expert how she did this. Any info you can share would be appreciated. Thank you for showing your beauty!

Thank y'all for all the compliments on the quilt. It looks like I need to fluff my pillows in the photos. It's hard to photograph a quilt this large. It was my first time to try this way to QAYG. The best way I can describe it is it is done like binding. The front of the quilt is sashed the usual way, I have a 1/2 inch of batting all around each square. As I sewed one side of the sashing, I also sewed the raw edge of a double binding strip on the back. Next, I matched and sewed the other side of the sashing, making the front look normal. Then I used a fabric folding pen to fold and press the back sash across the back. I top stitched the sashing, which also stitched down the back. It makes the sashing area thicker but that is why I used thin Thermore instead of cotton. I suggest anyone who wants to try it to go to you tube and look up "How to join QAYG blocks" not just QAYG blocks. I hand stitched any areas with a flap or if I missed entirely.

I downloaded all the patterns but have not started it yet. Working on another quilt from stash fabrics . Love the white background.

What a fantastic finish...I like your choice of colors. I have not yet done a QAYG project but yours looks perfect.
