    Default Little Red Dresden Plate

    A couple of years ago, which I was first beginning this quilting journey/obsession, I bought some blocks on eBay....don't ask me why. I decided to use them for machine quilting practice. But there were six red and white Dresden Plates that were just too nice to practice on! So I finally used them...appliqued them onto a background, added some sashing and a border and....a nice little lap quilt. I machine quilted around the blocks and around the Plates then tied the sashing and border for more of an old-fashioned look. Think I'm gonna keep this one!

    Whoa...the red looks orange in this picture! It's actually a pretty Moda Marbles true red.

    Very nicely done. I wouldn't have practiced with them either. You did a fabulous job.
