    When I first saw your post I thought the quilt underneath was the border for the quilt top :-). I love the pinwheels with the NYB border. That's really cool and I may have to try it. Thanks for the inspiration!

    It's lovely. No, it doesn't need another border, but it screams out to me begging for RED binding! ;o) I like my vintage style quilts quilted in a cross hatch pattern but my sister prefers her's tied. Its just a personal preference and I think either way will be just fine for yours. If I tied it, I'd choose tan floss to tie it with, so it blends in with the blocks and doesn't steal their thunder, then the red binding would really make the red setting squares pop and give it a framed/finished look. Please post a pix for us when you decide. Its sooo pretty.
