My Experimental Bargello! by Danmar

While I haven't made a Bargello quilt (yet) my second quilting project was a Fractured Bargello sweatshirt makeover. It is a favorite and I am planning on making a Bow Tucks Bag to match soon and will post pictures when it is finished.

Then, when you are using a pattern, it will tell you where to take the seams apart, so that you get your pattern. For example, On this 12" block that I made for my first bargello attempt, starting at the left, after you cut the tube into the required sizes (1", 1.5", 2", etc.) the pattern will tell you what seams to take apart. Like the seam between the dk pink and yellow, then the seam between the blue and dk pink, etc.
Does that make sense? Hope that helps.

Thank you for posting that picture. It looks a lot like a bargello, doesn't it? What is a Bow Tucks Bag? I've seen that name on here several times but have no clue what it is. Good luck with your bag.
