You are a very lucky lady to have such a wonderful Dad.

I admire your father greatly. What a wonderful person he must be. A real man, in my book. One who knows what's important. And so talented, too! Calling that piece of art a sewing table just doesn't do it justice. Is that a built-in ironing board I see to the right of your sewing machine? Very clever. I hope you have many years to enjoy your father and your "sewing center".

That is fabulous! I wouldn't have a place to use a big table like that, but would love having a pullout ironing board like yours. I sew in my bedroom, and there isn't room to set up anything to iron on in there, not even a pad, so I spend a lot of time walking from one end of the house to another . Of course, that is probably good, I get some exercise and because I have back and leg problems, sitting too long isn't a good thing.

He is truly a craftsman. I bet you get your quilting DNA from him. Anything you make on that table begins with LOVE!

WOW! I am sitting here crying remembering my dad, he was the same way. Did anything and everything for us kids. If he didn't know how, he figured it out. He did not survive his second bout with cancer (inoperable) 21 years ago, and I miss him as much today as I did then. Cherish that man with everything you have, and the cabinet too!

Thats what I thought...they look like the old chicken boxes. I love it! When I sold antiques, those old chinken boxes would sell like crazy!
Your dad is a treasure! He does fantastic work..I love your new table! I too will showing my hubby! Did he make the drawers himself too? That is alot of work. I am hoping my hubby can make one similar, but probably with cabinets that are already made.
Chirstmas blessings to your family and your Daddy!
