Great space, your carpenter did a nice job on the shelving and the ironing station. It sounds like you are in the center of everything important!

Your room is awesome! Just how I would like to set up mine. I put up a design wall in March and I too love it!! I have sent a PM to you about your cutting/ironing table and wall lamp.

I am with you on this one! (Husker fan) BUT love the room, and the house. What a beautiful set up. I really love the cutting table....what is the size of the top? Wishing you many years of quilting in that beautiful room! And if you dont mind me asking, what is the pattern name of the quilt on your design wall.... I think it is beautiful! Love the scrappy patriotic look!
The cutting table is 24 x 52 x 36 high, including its wheels. The drop leaf is the same size, so it is 48 x 52 when open. I have to roll it forward to raise the leaf, but it moves very easily. I stole the design from one I saw on a blog.

The blocks on the design wall are from a pattern in a book by Kim Brackett called Scrap Basket Surprises. The fabric is from two jelly rolls with some added lights from my stash. I'm going to add sashing from one of the dark blue prints rather than just sew the blocks together. My blocks are not all exactly the same size and I don't think my points will all match up...so I'm using the sashing!

Thanks for all the nice comments...I love my room!

LOVE your space. The cabinets are beautiful, and it looks like it functions so well. A lovely creative space!!! I just painted a 5 ft wide floor to ceiling bookcase and then filled it with my treasured quilting books. Such a thrill! I'll share my space when I get it done but thanks for sharing yours. Such an inspiration!
