You can be sure he will take good care of it.

Sons can be so wonderful at times. However I think they tease more than daughters do!

Haven't read all the posts BUT I loved it. Beats what my son said when I showed him one of my BOM quilts. He said "boy, I bet if you put that on e-bay you could get $150 for it!!!!! I've left instructions that he IS NOT to get any of my quilts when I die. Fortunately my daughter is a quilter and knows the value of quilts.

That is awesome. I think sometimes boys tend to be more sentimental, at least my son is. After making a quilt for my daughter, my son asked for a blue/black quilt, so I made him an Irish chain quilt - then while looking at a JoAnn sales flyer, he spotted some leopard print fabric and said that's what he wanted for the back. Well, I went to this discount store, found a small leopard print for $1 a yard and they had exactly the amount I needed. He took that quilt with him when he moved out, and he still has it - over 15 years later. Guess he's pretty sentimental. He also kept his Raggedy Andy doll that I made, but it didnt' fare well, as he had moved it to the basement, too much dampness, etc.,. When I washed it, it wasn't pretty any more. Guess I'll just have to make a set for my 1 year old granddaughter to make up for it. Again, great quilt and an even greater son.
